DPC-RELUIS Line 1 Masonry Structures: quality, mechanical properties, diagnostic investigations and vulnerability of masonry buildings at territorial scale

TypeNational project- Agreement between consorzio ReLUIS and Dipartimento della Protezione Civile
ResponsableGiuliana Cardani

Stone masonry section

The theme of the earthquake resistance of existing masonry buildings has always been of primary importance because of the high vulnerability of masonry buildings and their large amount in the Italian territory. The problem is wide and complex, and there are still many open problems. In the context of the DPC - Reluis project, it is necessary to improve the study of irregular masonry stone and parameters to be used in seismic testing, if it is not possible to perform destructive tests on site , as for Architectural Heritage and / or is not cost-effective to rely on values that offers the NTC2008 legislation .

Insight into Masolino's wall paintings in Castiglione Olona: Advanced reflectance and fluorescence imaging analysis
